Website widgets

Embed public reviews, ratings, feedback or chat with the right website access settings.

Choose a widget type

Reviews displays published customer reviews. Badge summarizes the public rating. Feedback lets website visitors respond. Chat starts a conversation when the Conversations module is enabled and configured.

Every widget belongs to a feedback subject. Create an active subject before setup so the reviews and responses are associated with the right experience.

Create and install a widget

  1. Open Website reviews and choose Create website widget.
  2. Select the subject, then choose a type and recognizable team name.
  3. List exact website origins, for example https://shop.example.com. Include the scheme and any nondefault port; omit page paths and trailing slashes. Separate origins with commas.
  4. Review and create, then copy the embed code to your website. Creation does not install it automatically.

Embed example

Use the public key from the saved widget. An integration API secret is not a widget key and must never be embedded in website JavaScript. Multiple widget containers can share the page.

<div data-lipback-widget="reviews" data-lipback-key="YOUR_WIDGET_KEY"></div>
<script async src="https://lipback.com/widget/v1.js"></script>

Vue, Nuxt and React

Render the data-attribute container in your component and load the widget script with the framework's client lifecycle or head utilities. In React, keep the data attributes in JSX and load the script from an effect. Avoid repeatedly adding the script on rerender.

Use the saved widget's storefront example to check the embed separately from your website. An empty feed can mean there are no consented, published reviews for that subject. Check moderation and origins before changing code.
